6 Styria, Carinthia, Carniola, Luxembourg, and of Upper and Lower Silesia, Württemberg and Tecka, Prince of Swabia, Marquis of the Holy Roman Empire, Burgovia, Moravia, Upper and Lower Lusatia, Count of Habsburg, Tyrol, Pfirrete, Kyburg and Gorizia, Landgrave of Alsace, Lord of the Sclavonian Mark, of Port Naon and the Salines. To all People and Provinces, depending on Our Hereditary Reign of Hungary, and to everyone else, who shall read or listen to these present letters, and in particular to the Albanian People, Our Cesarean and Royal Grace and all Good. Shall it be known to you that, trusting in the Divine Protection and the Justice of Our cause, because of Our Cesarean and Royal Duty, we continue this Turkish War, to which we have been treacherously and unjustly provoked, just to this end, so that we shall restore the People, subjected to Us by Law, and depending, by the Law, on Our mentioned Reign of Hungary, and all the other Christians, taken out from the cruel servitude of the Turks, to the former Freedom, the former Privileges, and to the former Union with the body, on which they depend, every abuse having been removed, every flaw, introduced through the Turkish tyranny, having been corrected, and each Law having been given back to anyone; therefore, we Beningly incite the People, formed through the entire Albania, Serbia, Missia, Bulgaria, Silistra, Illyria, Macedonia and Rascia, and the other Provinces, depending on Our aforementioned Reign of Hungary, and all the other People, wailing under the Turkish yoke, so that, corresponding to Our Pious and Fatherly desire, in such a favourable occasion, the Turkish forces having been destroyed by so many losses through Our victorious Army, for their own Safety and Liberation, and for the promotion of the Christian Religion, they all shall join Our side, take up Arms against the Turks, join Our Troops, according to the opportunity and necessity, by the Orders of Our War Generals and Commanders, who will soon appear in the battlefield with a proper and plentiful army, and provide them, according to their ability, with provisions and other things that shall be necessary for their sustenance, and give a tempestive help, in occasions of whichever kind, against the common enemy, and even willingly surrender themselves to Our said War Generals, who will bestow upon them every Protection against the assaults of the Turks, who will protect everywhere the exact military discipline, as we seriously demanded, and to Our legitimate Dominion, if they want to experience Our Grace and Clemency. We promise you, all the aforementioned People and Provinces, subjected and to be rightfully subjected, by the Law, to Us, as to the King of Hungary, the Freedom, Privileges and Rights for all of choosing their own Religion and Voivode having in particularly been protected, the exemption from any public duty and contribution, apart, however, from the ancient and traditional Laws of Kings and Lords before every Turkish invasion, every abuse, introduced by the Turkish Dominion, even having been removed from them, apart from the case of War necessities, in which, for your own safety and defense, by the means of a voluntary contribution, you shall provide necessary aids, according to your ability, by which our Troops can be restored, our Provinces can be defended and the War Expenditures can be sustained; then, the Turkish yoke having
